Articles are invited on the issues related to Old Age Care, Drug Abuse Prevention, Transgender welfare, Prevention of Beggary & Destitution etc. for quarterly National Journal of Social Defence from professionals, professors, readers, lecturers of concerned departments of universities and colleges , research institutes, RRTCs, international organisations, like minded NGOs etc.
The National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) is an Apex Autonomus Institution under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The Institute primarily undertakes training, Research and Documentation in the field of Care of the Elderly, Drug Abuse Prevention, Transgender and Beggary Prevention etc. NISD, inter alia, organizes training programmes/ sensitization workshops for State Government officials, Police Personnel and Non Governmental Organizations concerned with issues dealt by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India.

In its pursuit to meet the defined objectives, NISD encourages networking and linkages with concerned department at different States in order to broad base its activities and expand through its programmes. Besides, research activities are carried out in Collaboration with concerned Central and State Universities, Departments and approved research Centres.

You will be happy to note that our Institute is bringing out the quarterly National Journal of Social Defence which consists of articles pertaining to Drug Abuse Prevention, Old Age Care, Transgender welfare, Prevention of Beggary & Destitution etc. These articles act as a bridge between policy makers, administrators, academicians, researchers and social work activists.
4. In this regard it is requested to kindly send your valuable articles (about 3000 words) within 30 days from the date of its announcement for our National Journal on Social Defence through email (in MS Word) as well as in hard copy which would be published in the Social Defence Journal after the Scrutiny by Editorial Board. Article should be of 4-5 pages (3000 max. words) and it is also informed that if the article is selected for Publication of Journal after due procedure in NISD, an amount of Rs.2000/- would be paid to the writer of the published article.
