Awareness programmes in Schools and Colleges of Delhi & NCR region during Sept–Nov.2017 by NISD

During the month of October & November, 2017, NISD has organized awareness programmes on harmful effects Drug Abuse in schools / colleges for students/ NSS volunteers in Delhi and NCR region at the following places:

1. Amity International School, Saket, Delhi  on 24th October, 2017

2. Amity International School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi  on7th November, 2017

3. Amity International School, Vasundhra, Ghaziabad on 8th  November, 2017

4. Savitribai Phule Inter College, Kasana, Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 11th November, 2017

5. Atma Ram Sanatam Dhram college, University of Delhi on 18th September and 1st November,  2017

6. 6- One Day Awareness Programmes for schools students at Delhi Government schools in collaboration with  Red Cross Society, Delhi Chapter

The awareness programme included showing video clip, interactive  technical sessions on types of drugs  and its  Psycho-social–physical consequences on the individual, family and the society. The technical sessions were delivered by expert of NDDTC, AIIMS and other expert in the field of drug abuse prevention. Further, Director, NISD apprised the audience on role of NISD(Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment ) and legal aspects related to drug possession and  consumption. A Pantomime show was also played at these venues to aware the students about ill effects of drug abuse and stay away from drugs. About 1500 students were sensitized through the above mentioned  programmes in Delhi & NCR region.
